DESCRIPTION:https://www.2020norc.org/ \nOutdoors for All: Advancing Stewardship\, Equity\, and Wellness in Outdoor Recreation \nThe in-person September event has been canceled\, and a virtual event is being planned for fall. \nThe Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals is excited to announce the 2020 Virtual National Outdoor Recreation Conference (NORC)! As you have likely heard\, SORP and our conference partners at Tennessee State Parks recently made the difficult decision to cancel the planned in-person NORC in Knoxville\, TN. While we share your disappointment\, we are pleased to host a virtual version of our conference. The 2020 Virtual NORC will be made up of live (virtual) sessions\, online content\, networking sessions\, and other opportunities to share and learn from other outdoor recreation practitioners. \nThe 2020 Virtual NORC will run for 6 weeks from September 14 through October 23\, 2020 with most virtual content scheduled every Wednesday (September 16\, 23\, and 30; October 7\, 14\, and 21) during three (3) blocks: \n\n\nBlock 1: 9:00 – 10:15am PDT \n\n\nBlock 2: 11:00am – 12:15pm PDT \n\n\nBlock 3: 1:00 – 2:00pm PDT \n\n\n\nWe are also scheduling additional learning and networking sessions throughout the 6-week period. Additionally\, all conference content will be available on demand via the conference website if you’re unable to join the live sessions. The Program Work Group is diligently working on a revised conference program (to be posted in several weeks). \nThe 2020 Virtual NORC will be available to all SORP members (a benefit of membership!)\, though several sessions will be available to all (no membership required). If you’re not a member\, please consider joining today to take advantage of access and participation in all 2020 Virtual NORC sessions. Become a member by visiting the SORP website.
