Followers paid their final respects before he made his way across the bridge one final time. Trail employees later participated in the final funeral life remembrance events in Atlanta, GA.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>PROTECTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maintenance \u2014<\/strong> Staff provided technical assistance to private land owners interested in maintaining their historic properties and\/or landscapes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>CAPACITY<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Facilities \u2014<\/strong> The trail opened its third interpretive center, in Montgomery at Alabama State University, to interpret the events that occurred in the Montgomery side of the voting rights campaign in March 1965.
