The trail runs through the ancestral home lands of the Shawnee, Kansa, Osage, Pawnee, Cheyenne and Arapaho, Comanche and Kiowa, as well as the Apache tribes of Mescalero and Jicarilla, the Mouache Ute, and into the lands of the Pueblo Peoples of New Mexico. Points of interest include the National <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/places\/000\/national-frontier-trails-museum.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frontier Trails Museum<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/places\/mahaffie-stagecoach-stop-farm-historic-site.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop &amp; Farm Historic Site<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/places\/bent-s-old-fort-national-historic-site.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bent&#8217;s Old Fort Historic Site<\/a>.
