By walking to and from each venue, they emphasize being local and accessible and each town\u2019s arts council, school system, and recreation opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, the Massachusetts Walking Tour traveled the length of the <a title=\"New England National Scenic Trail\" href=\"http:\/\/pnts.org\/new\/new-england-national-scenic-trail\/\">New England National Scenic Trail<\/a>, performing at points along the Trail. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nps.gov\" target=\"_blank\">National Park Service<\/a>, Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the <a title=\"Appalachian Mountain Club\" href=\"http:\/\/pnts.org\/new\/appalachian-mountain-club\/\">Appalachian Mountain Club<\/a>\u00a0sponsored and supported the tour.
