\"\"<\/a>The book \u201cThe Continental Divide Trail\u201d explores this iconic wilderness footpath with more than 250 spectacular contemporary images, as well as historical photos and documents from the Continental Divide Trail Coalition archives. Readers can experience the trail as if their boots were on the 3,100-mile path. <\/span><\/p>\n

This beautifully produced volume makes accessible the highest and most remote of the Triple Crown trails, following the Rocky Mountains from Mexico to Canada along the Continental Divide Trail (CDT), the backbone of America. While untold thousands of day hikers take advantage of the CDT each year, thru-hiking the entire trail is not for the faint-hearted. In 2017, only 250 people attempted to hike it end-to-end. 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the CDT\u2019s designation as a national scenic trail. <\/span><\/p>\n

With text by Barney Scout Mann, who has thru-hiked all three Triple Crown trails, and a foreword by two-time Pulitzer Prize-Winning New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, this book makes the trail come alive for both veteran hikers and armchair travelers alike.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barney Scout Mann is also co-author of Rizzoli’s \u201cThe Pacific Crest Trail.\u201d He thru-hiked the Continental Divide Trail in 2015 and was the chair of the Pacific Crest Trail Association’s board of directors from 2012 to 2015, now serving on the board of the Continental Divide Trail Coalition and the Partnership for the National Trails System.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
