Established in 1979, E Mau Nā Ala Hele is dedicated to protection and stewardship of the ancient and historic trails of Hawai'i, including the cultural landscapes and communities which they traverse and connect. E Mau Nā Ala Hele partners with the Nā Ala Hele State trails program, the Federal Ala Kahakai National Historic Trail, the local community, and Native Hawaiian people-of-place to protect Hawai'i's trail system for future generations.
