PROTECTION
Rehabilitation —
NPS rehabilitated over 4 miles of the Old Natchez Trace in TN for pedestrian use by removing downed and standing timber.
NPS funded the replacement of deteriorating structures along the Blackland Prairie & Yockanookany sections of the trail.
Development — A contractor has been hired to design 34 bridges and 2,440 feet of boardwalk. The new structures will be built to modern equestrians standards and have steel understructures. Construction will begin in 2022.
