Trail of Tears Association (TOTA)
OUTREACH
Website — TOTA developed an internet hub regarding the forced removal of the Southern Tribes. The website provides a collection of research papers, including studies of extant witness structures, preservation guides, conference presentations, and links to other resources offering Trail of Tears related materials.
Archive — TOTA developed an archive of association newsletters and a listing of the graves of those who endured or died along the Trail of Tears, as marked by the OK Chapter. Booklets containing the bios of those so honored are also available.
PROTECTION
Preservation — TOTA supported efforts to preserve the Brown’s Ferry Tavern historic site.
