Having served as Outreach Director for both Georgia Appalachian Trail Club (GATC), the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC), and the Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club, Jay has been involved with outreach events for over five years. His efforts focus on reaching out to youth groups with the intent of sharing outdoor resources.

Jay has been a Leave No Trace Master Educator since 2010 and a member of the GATC since 2009. He has spent five years on the GATC board as the Information & Education and Outreach Directors and currently serve as the club’s president.
