Scott Stewart

Scott works in the Washington Office of The USDA Forest Service and manages the Forest Legacy Program and the Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program. The Forest Legacy Program (FLP) works with States to identify and protect important forest lands by issuing grants to States to support the acquisition or lands or conservation easements. The FLP is active in 53 States and Territories. The Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program (CFP) is a newer program provides grants to create or add to community forests. Grants can be issued to units of local government, eligible non-profits and federally recognized Tribes. Scott has worked for the Forest Service since 2002.
