Support Needed for the Land and Water Conservation Fund

Please Sign on to Support the Land and Water Conservation Fund!

Every few years, we refresh our LWCF Coalition Statement of Support, which lays out our coalition’s message to Congress, and is signed by supporters ranging from local to national groups who are working to reauthorize and fully fund the program. Given that we are now less than 5 months away from the expiration of LWCF’s authorizing legislation, and that key committees in Congress are beginning to debate reauthorization in a very public way, we thought this was a perfect time to update the statement and spread it far and wide for signatures. Over 1,000 organizations signed on to the last version, and I know we can get well beyond that this time around. More info below. Thanks!

How to Sign: See the statement text and signature form here http://lwcfsupport.org/

Who Should Sign?-Organizations (including chapters of national organizations), businesses, local elected officials/agencies/boards

What is the deadline? – ASAP

What does a signature mean? – Signatories are putting their organization’s name behind the message contained in the statement. Besides the specific text of the statement, nobody will claim to speak for your organization.

Who should potential signers contact with questions? – Brandon Helm (brandon_helm@tws.org) will be the primary contact, though you can feel free to reach out to Ryan Lemier (rlemier@outdoorsamerica.org) or any other member of the LWCF team for more information.
