Alexis Puerto Holmes, Recreation Programs Assistant with Sonoma County Regional Parks
Alexis Puerto-Holmes is a Park Programs Assistant for Sonoma County Regional Parks and has worked in the environmental field for the last 5 years. Within this role she has created and implemented over 50 programs that target marginalized communities.  Alexis is a proud  Latina queer woman from Oakland, California. She became passionate about social and environmental justice early on after recognizing the necessity to create change within her own community. Therefore she chose to study Recreation Administration at Humboldt State as she wanted to support historically underserved communities having equal access to natural spaces (which she is able to do within her current role)! In Alexis’ free time she can be found hiking, creating art, and spending time with her two dogs.
