Camille Ferguson

Camille L. Ferguson is the Executive Director for the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association. Ms. Ferguson manages and leads the national nonprofit tribal tourism organization headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that promotes nationally and internationally tribal destinations in the U.S.  She coordinates this effort with a fourteen-member national board of tribal tourism leaders.

Under her direction the association received U.S. Department Marketing Development Cooperators Award for AIANTA’s International Outreach for the USA, received U.S. National Park Partnership Award, expanded international marketing and outreach program and established new relationships in Germany, Italy and London; expanded tribal tourism education, technical assistance and training programs; improved public outreach program; and broadened an effective public lands partnership program.

Prior to her work for AIANTA, Camille was the Economic Development Director for the Sitka Tribe of Alaska where she established, expanded and managed Tourism, Transportation, Gaming Departments, the Tribal Tannery and the Community House Convention Facility.

Camille received a Service Award for her work leading Sitka Alaska’ the Alaska State of Alaska Mobility Coalition’s Dan Moreno Award Dan Moreno Award, a special recognition for individuals or tribal organizations that made significant contributions in support and development of tribal transportation in Alaska, Alaska Travel Industry Association’s Denali Award (their highest, for professionalism & leadership), American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA) President’s Award, and the  U.S. Department of Interior’s Director’s Partnership Award.
