John works with an interdisciplinary team at the National Trails Intermountain Region office (NTIR) within the National Park Service. NTIR administers the Oregon, Mormon Pioneer, California, Pony Express, Santa Fe, Old Spanish, Trail of Tears, El Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, and El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trails, and manages the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program. He has worked with trails for almost ten years, in addition to other federal agency and nonprofit experiences. John holds a B.S. in Biology from St. Lawrence University, and received a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico.
