Rob Sweeten

Rob serves as the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Administrator for the Old Spanish National Historic Trail.  He shares the administrative duties for this trail with the National Park Service.  He also serves as the Utah BLM State Office National Historic Trails and Historic Trails Lead.  Rob has worked for the BLM for 25 years and has served as the BLM Moab District Landscape Architect, the BLM National Visual Resource Management Training Lead, two details as the BLM Chief Landscape Architect in Washington DC, and as the Utah BLM State Office Landscape Architect.  Rob has worked on multiple national trail planning and strategy documents including, the Comprehensive Administrative Strategy for the Old Spanish National Historic Trail, along with 8 Recreation and Development Strategies for the Old Spanish National Historic Trail.  Rob graduated from Utah State University with a BLA in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning and currently lives in Layton Utah.  Rob loves spending time in the outdoors with his family, and when he is not with them or on a trail, he is blowing a whistle as a college soccer referee.
