Sabrina Carlson

Sabrina has been the Northern Arizona Youth Outreach and Education Coordinator since 2014 and LOVES getting to blend her passion for education and the outdoors by guiding youth and teachers into the wilderness to learn and grow. She is a Certified Montessori teacher with 12 years of classroom experience and is a 20+year veteran of outdoor adventure. With an emphasis on “place-based” education in the outdoors, Sabrina prioritizes place-based lessons in an outdoor setting as often as possible to enhance student engagement, retention and joy in the process of learning. With a love for mountain biking, trail running, hiking, backpacking and taking her yoga practice outside, she hopes to talk someone into teaching her rock climbing very soon. She holds additional certifications in Place-Based Education and Environmental Education, is a current Wilderness First Responder, and is a 200 hour registered yoga teacher.
