William Buck is a writer from Northern California who walked two or more segments of the 30 National Scenic and Historic Trails. With 23 years of experience in internet technologies, web design and digital media, he has created smart ways to use technology while still prioritizing time on Trails & Rivers.

He presented at the PNTS conference in Tennessee in 2015, as well as at the University of San Francisco, Stanford University, the Bioneers conference and many other events. His upcoming book is a guide to the National Trails System.
